At just 20 years old, singer-songwriter Mikalyn already has an impressive slew of accolades to her name, including being the winner of TheMuseum’s REVERBERATIONS Unplugged. Though her sound is primarily indie and alt-pop, Mikalyn has also lent her vocals to electronic artists, most recently on a collaborative track with Brazilian EDM artist RQntz and producer Too Much, titled “Dangerous.” Mikalyn gained an initial unconventional foothold when Brazilian record label Reven Beats discovered her original, piano-driven music on SoundCloud and offered to transform her songs into EDM remixes, leading her to expand her sound with the help of many other artists of differing styles.

The Guelph, ON-based singer-songwriter pens relatable songs that touch on relationships, love (or lack thereof ), and everyday experiences and emotions. Inspired by the likes of Between Friends, Tears for Fears, Billie Eilish, and Marina, Mikalyn’s sound is a vibrant and colourful blend of infectious pop melodies, soaring vocals, and polished production. In June 2022, she performed at Toronto’s historic El Mocambo as part of NXNE.
