RIP: Bachman-Turner Overdrive Drummer Robbie Bachman has Died

Bachman was 69. No cause of death has been revealed.

Founding Bachman-Turner Overdrive drummer Robbie Bachman has passed away. The news was shared by Bachman's brother, Bachman-Turner Overdrive guitarist and vocalist Randy Bachman on Twitter.

Robbie Bachman was 69 years old. No cause of death has been revealed.

The world-renowned drummer was born in Winnipeg and played alongside his brothers Randy and TIm, as well as bassist and vocalist Fred Turner in Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Formed in 1973, the band was one of Canada's most successful acts of the '70s, with hits including "Takin' Care of Business" and "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet."

"Maybe Jeff Beck needs a drummer!" Randy Bachman added in his tweet. "He was an integral cog in our rock 'n' roll machine and we rocked the world together."
