The Ontario Music Educators' Association (OMEA)is accepting applications for workshops at SYNERGY 2023, which will take place in Niagara Falls, ON from Nov. 2-4, 2023, however, the workshops will only be presented from Nov. 3-4, 2023.

Through its annual provincial conference, it is the goal of OMEA and the Canadian Music Industry Education Committee (CMIEC) to heighten the educational experience of the conference and lessen any potential overtones of commercialism. Workshops are to teach educational concepts.We will be offering a stream of workshops that will promote products or services.

Successful Candidates will be notified by email prior to April 2023. All successful candidates will receive a full conference admission (Thursday-Saturday; two lunches, concert, exhibit area access); an OMEA membership of $50 value (if an Ontario Educator), and a CMEA Membership of $25 value (if an Ontario Educator).

Synergy 2023 is calling for educators, students and community musicians to share ideas and practices through: facilitated discussion panels, experiential learning opportunities, community knowledge building circles, direct instruction, Q&A forums, book talks and other spaces attendees suggest that allow everyone to contribute to the conversation about how the organization can all offer music programs where students see themselves reflected in the learning community.
