NXNE 2022 Accepting Artist Submissions; Eliminates Application Fee

After two cancelled editions because of the pandemic, the North by Northeast music festival is returning to Toronto music venues from June 14-19, 2022. As part of its commitment to inclusion and diversity, NXNE is eliminating all charges to apply to play and all artists will be paid to perform. Artist application are now being accepted.

NXNE is a discovery music festival focusing on promoting emerging musician, supporting Toronto’s live music venues and, connecting audiences with new acts. The festival is again soliciting emerging artists from across Canada and around the world with an emphasis on promoting Canadian talent.

NXNE has been discovering and presenting new music since 1995. Over 200,000 attend the festival every June in Toronto — except recently. The festival says it presents top curated, emerging artists from Canada around the world in ideal showcase settings.
