Music Tourism Convention Heading to Cape Breton in October
For the first time, Music Cities Events and Sound Diplomacy will be taking the Music Tourism Convention to Canada, with the next edition being held in Cape Breton, NS from Oct. 5-7, 2022.
Voted as the number one island in North America by Condé Nast Traveler in 2019, Cape Breton Island not only offers stunning landscapes and adventurous trails, but also a thriving and unique music scene. With music as a driver for 45% of travellers visiting the island, an international festival at its 25th edition, and an incredible wealth of talent, Cape Breton Island is an established music tourism destination.
For the occasion of the Cape Breton "Year of Music", the Music Tourism Convention will be travelling to the island in 2022 for the event's very first Canadian edition. On top of two full days of insightful conference sessions, there will also be an optional, three-day pre-convention tour for everyone interested in experiencing and enjoying the Cape Breton Island's music tourism offers and heritage. Participants will also be heading to the unique Celtic Colours International Festival for its opening night on Oct. 7th.
