From April 25-26, 2023, the Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) hosted its first-ever Make It Music summit, an event designed to bring the Canadian-owned independent music community together forboutique forum  challenge how we do business, and seize the “unimaginable” to drive growth for your business, career, and music in ways you’ve never dreamt possible.

The event featured exclusive access to international leaders in futures thinking, marketing, tech and, of course, music. CIMA’s new flagship event is all about determining the probable, the possible, and the preferable of what’s to come. Also featured at the well-attended conference was a keynote lecture by Dr. Jane McGonigal, American author, game designer, and researcher. 

Hosted in Toronto’s Offworld, the two-day summit capped off with the Make It Music Awards. The winners can be viewed here.
